Founded in 2005 in the ancient city of Suzhou, the School of Architecture at Soochow University has now journeyed through two decades. We have consistently driven innovation in design education with passion and imagination, treating curriculum development as an ongoing process of urban renewal. By integrating cutting-edge concepts such as "narrative design" and "critical thinking," we adopt a research-driven approach to practice, ensuring that design transcends spatial creation to become a medium for storytelling and inspiring change. The school has established a comprehensive disciplinary system covering architecture, urban and rural planning, landscape architecture, and historic building conservation engineering, emphasizing interdisciplinary integration to address the complex challenges of cities and the environment. We are committed to drawing wisdom from cultural heritage with a progressive spirit, cultivating creative industry leaders for the future.
